feedback on finished film

Camera Work:

Change in camera angles is good,
Panning up and across at the beginning of film is good.

Mise En Scene:

Good effect used (posterization),
Not playing guitar, so wasn't a very good prop,
It doesn't fit the genre because the outfit did not fit in,
Location was a good idea fits in with the lyrics, curbside.

Editing:

Very effective (with the 'now, now, now' editing),
Effective with the animation,
May need more animations.

Overview on the whole project

We all enjoyed this project, as it was very productive and we was allowed to use completely our own ideas, though we didn't have a great selection of tracks to choose from, we chose an upbeat song and one we could realistically make a video for in college time and at low budget.
Throughout the whole project we were positive towards it and always coming up with new ideas. Even if members where ill, we carried on trying our hardest to get more filming or more editing done as we only had a short time to complete this project and couldn't really afford to waste lessons doing nothing waiting on other group members or doing nothing because they weren't there.
Though we didn't end up doing our initial ideas, because of time issues. We think our final finished video had came out really well, other people in our class love it and our teacher thinks it has progressed since it had no animations or effects.
So bring on the screening of it at the arts picture house !!!!

another new idea

Seeing as we didn't have enough time to do our other idea of Alfie wearing different clothes and being in different locations, we decided to make the footage we have more exciting by adding in animations over the top of it. We are going to have the animations coincide with the lyrics, e.g. 'waiting for my rocket to come' we are going to have an animation of a rocket flying over Alfie's head.
We are going to add a few different animation in and then add an effect over the top of our footage once we have added in the animation, to make it look more cartoony, the effect is called posterize.
Once we have added in these things we will have finished our music video, our idea has changed so much from our first idea as we just ran out of time to film and had to come up with different ideas to make our music video less boring.
I think once we are finished the music video is going to look really good.

We finished adding our animation in the music video on the 5/11/08, i think that it is looking really good and is so much more interesting, we are now going to add in an effect over the top of the the video to make it look more cartoony.
